Along the Road

Yesterday I did a little garden open
doors trip.
Wow!
There certainly are many wonderful
gardens out there!
Now I am so inspired and want to change,
rearrange and dig into that dirt...

Here a few inspiring photos from two gardens
for you.

Jon Eliasson och Frida Ramstedt

Några veckor sedan var jag på
en kurs i inredning, design, trender och trendenser
på Borås tapeter där föreläsarna
var designguryn Jon Eliasson och
kan kika in i. Jättecoolt!

A couple of weeks ago I did a course in interior
designand trends at Borås Wallpaper where
the lecturers were the Swedish design gury Jon Eliasson
and the star blogger Frida Ramstedt at Trendenser.
It was two fantastic days with a lot of laughter and also
exciting spotting when it comes to coming trends!
I will show you
some pics from the course but mainly from the
workshop Jon held which might inspire the ones who
work with interior design.
This is how Jon usually works with his customers:
He makes moodboards with pictures (material, textures, nature etc)
inspired from words
given from customers and also pictures
of the chosen furniture, wallpaper and textiles, and color
charts (accent colors and secondary colors) to go with that and
a sketch drawn with central perspective.
Then he shows a little model that the customer can look into.
Really cool!

Enjoy! Happy Friday to You!

Stephen Johnson Alice in Wonderland

Man I love these candleholders.
//Kristiina

About the designs in Artecnica.
"Wonderland candleholders conjure a surreal Alice in Wonderland world of escape. Fashioned from a deft balancing act of figurines that support a candle holder atop the stack, Wonderland is constructed using pieces individually cast from ornaments found by designer Stephen Johnson from antique markets in his native England. Wonderland illustrates how design can fulfill emotional needs like fantasy, nostalgia, and humor".

Orange You Lucky

Eng:
Helen Dardik inspires people with her imaginative and colourful prints on her blog Orange Lucky You! Although one presumes that a hectic life with three kiddies can seem as an obsticle for one´s creative life, Helen shows just the opposite, she really gets her things right and is a very productive woman- she also has has a compassion for the lovely childish which really IS lovely AND that we must love! Love this! Man I love this.

rag rug/trasmatta

I just adore rag rugs! I found this awesome rug on the website Craft Passion. It is originally Chinese and I have never seen anything like this! It has tiny spikes made of fabric and then sewn in rows. It is fantastic hand craft if you ask me! Enjoy!

Gemma at Louisiana

been to Louisiana Museum for Modern Art and saw the exhibition Farven i kunsten with the modernists as Picasso, Leger, Miró, Kandinsky (my favourite!) and lots and lots more....loved it all...and these fab colourists made me want to go back to the studio and paint. then I stumbled over Gemmas cool pillows in the shop which I just adored because I am a real sucker for those structures and paint strokes. she´s got some nice paintings on her website as well...would love to see more, though. nice to meet her in the design and art world. see ya.
